The Investment Development
Authority of Lebanon, IDAL, is a public Investment Promotion Agency
responsible for attracting private capital investments to Lebanon and
assisting investors in the development and implementation of their projects.
IDAL is a special body designed to operate in close collaboration with all
concerned ministries and public administrations and reports directly to the
prime Minister. Based on the Investment Development Law N. 360 dated
16/8/2001, IDAL's main activities can be outlined as follows:
1- Services Provided
Services to investors range from information gathering and
assistance in the setting-up of companies to the rapid issuance of permits
and licenses required by the Lebanese authorities. These services include:
• One-Stop-Shop. a service under which IDAL has the authority to
supersede public administrations, agencies, and municipalities for an
accelerated issuance process of permits and licenses required by various
public authorities and administrations.
• Investors Business matching, a service that matches local
entrepreneurs with local and international investors for the establishment
of partnership projects.
• Investors Support and
Information Center – ISIC, That provides extensive, detailed, and reliable
information on all areas of interest to investors.

Incentives Offered
Providing incentives,
exemptions, reductions, and facilities for investment projects, based upon
an investment classification zoning system that aims to efficiently and
equitably distribute economic activities throughout the country.
3- Package Deals
Promoting the "Incentive Package Deal" which allows IDAL to offer customized
incentives, exemptions, reductions, and facilities for investment projects
bound by a contract stipulating specific rights and obligations for both
IDAL and the investors, including those committed to carrying out projects
within a set period of time
4- Joint Ventures
Directly participating in the raising of capital for the formation of joint-
stock companies involved in the promotion of Lebanese tourism and
agricultural and/or industrial products, as well as joint-stock companies
involved in the establishment and management of incubators, facilitating
innovations in the fields of technology, information technology, and
communications among others.

Export promotion
Promoting Lebanese
products, particularly agricultural goods and processed food.
6-
Advisory Role
Advising the Lebanese
government on investment-related issues by making recommendations and
offering practical solutions with regard to changes in statutory and
administrative frameworks for the improvement of the country's investment
climate.
