Lebanese Diaspora : Lebanese migration has long been a tradition for the Lebanese, whose ascendants the Phoenicians traveled extensively around the Mediterranean establishing trading posts and by some accounts beat Christopher Columbus and the Vikings to the Americas by almost 2,000 years.

 With an estimated figure of 15 million citizens living abroad for an inside population of 4 million, Lebanon is one of the only countries to have more citizens living outside its boundaries. This represents a great loss for Lebanon.

 Many of those who left during the civil war came back home during the 1990s. The usual pattern of sending your wife and kids to Lebanon while you were abroad started anew.

Lebanon's history, culture, and hospitality have always made it one of the most treasured vacation destinations in the Middle East.

 We, at Ruwayha Eco Village, decided that it is time to communicate and build bridges with our other Lebanese wing.

Objectives of Ruwayha Eco Village’s  Lebanese Diaspora Summer-Camping  :

 The Lebanese Diaspora Summer Camping offers, each year, to Lebanese youth-campers (12 - 21) years, to visit Lebanon.

 The idea is to get to learn and know Lebanon's : Language, history and future. Concentration will be mainly on : Arabic language, history of Lebanon and Lebanese future aspirations.

 Lebanese Diaspora Summer Camping Facilities :

 The variety of our available properties, programs, and activities :

 - Our well-equipped Camping grounds, 2 000 sq. m, can accommodate a total of 250 Campers,

   in a breathtaking Ruwayha Eco Village, 72 000 sq. m, Open-Sky natural environment

   grounds offers and is, among other facilities, equipped with : Electricity, ample supply of

   drinking and utility water supply, picnic tables, toilets - 4 separate showers and 4 separate

   Rest-Rooms - Karate lessons, Hiking, Peddle boats, Fishing, Bike-riding, etc …
